Our Partners

Student Cultural Exchange is honored to work alongside non-profit organizations that work to help those less fortunate in their communities.  By volunteering with these dedicated non-profit organizations, our travelers learn what it means to give back in a sustained, caring manner to those less fortunate than themselves.

Please find a  short description of a few of our partner organizations below.

Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida

Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida is a private, nonprofit organization that collects, stores and distributes donated food to six Central Florida counties. During Student Cultural Exchange's Florida Exploration Program, participants sort food donations that then get distributed to the surrounding areas.  Last year SCE's group sorted over 2000 pounds worth of food!

Community Servings

Community Servings is a not-for-profit food and nutrition program providing services throughout Massachusetts to individuals and families living with critical and chronic illnesses. We give our clients, their dependent families, and caregivers appealing, nutritious meals, and send the message to those in greatest need that someone cares. Our goals are to help our clients maintain their health and dignity and preserve the integrity of their families through free, culturally appropriate, home-delivered meals, nutrition education, and other community programs.

Capital Area Food Bank

The Capital Area Food Bank is the largest organization in the Washington metro area working to solve hunger and its companion problems: chronic undernutrition, heart disease, and obesity. By partnering with 444 community organizations in DC, MD, and VA, as well as delivering food directly into hard to reach areas, the CAFB is helping 540,000 people each year get access to good, healthy food. That’s 12% of our region’s mothers, fathers, sons, daughters, sisters, brothers, and grandparent

Samara and carrillo elementary schools

Student Cultural Exchange partners directly with the local elementary schools in and around Playa Samara, Costa Rica to donate school supplies, volunteer on school beautification projects and run after school lacrosse sessions. In the past SCE has  donated dry erase boards and ceiling fans for classrooms and helped clean up the soccer fields.

Prestans Online academy

Prestans online academy provides international students direct access to rigorous English, History and Interview Prep curricula, developed and taught by current and former faculty members from top-tier U.S. boarding schools. Each Prestans class is designed to equip international students with the tools necessary for success in American classrooms.
